Do you have any idea what I ought to be doing right now? Being the super-mom, that I am I ordinarily would be doing dishes, laundry and ironing all at once while simultaneously mopping the floor. But no, no. Today, I’m stuck. Stuck in cyber-land. Why, you ask? Well, I don’t know. I can’t help it. No, I’m not addicted to the Internet, though that has been suggested by some of my more obnoxious family members (you know who you are!). Today, I’m just lazy and a little full of myself. I deserve a break right? So what, if Mt. Dishmore is erupting in the sink and the kids’ room smell like rot. I have a whole 2 1/2 hours before the kids will be home and I will have to shift full-force into Mommy-mode. For now I want to relax in front of the computer (even while I have to shove the dog off the top of my laptop so I can type.)
Hey, look at what I found, while being lazy on the internet. Aren’t they cute! Maybe a great gift for a snowman-lover. I found them through Etsy on a blog called From the High North. She sells some super cute stuff on Etsy too. So, there, I can do something productive online.
Oh and you know what else. I just found some yummy vintage buttons over at Etsy. This thing I have with vintage buttons is a fairly new phenomenon (you’re impressed I spelled that right aren’t you?) Here are a couple I found from ingrandmasattic and ladeebeesupplies. Pretty huh?
That reminds me. Yesterday, I noticed a post over in the Etsy forums – “what’s the big deal about vintage?” or something to that effect. It wasn’t a snarky post or anything like that, but it made me think. I like vintage, but it’s hard to put my finger on why. I’m not much into old Tupperware, but vintage supplies like buttons and fabric. I don’t know they just have character. It’s kind of cool thinking about the history of an item.
Okay, okay. That’s enough. I have a new bag this close to being finished. Back to work woman!
