This has been an interesting year for our family. Michael went to Kindergarten this year and overall he did really well. That’s not to say there weren’t some ups and downs. There was a long one-month period in which everyday he had some behavior problems. I suppose they weren’t serious according to some standards. He wasn’t hurting anyone or being ugly, but he wasn’t listening and was disrupting class. It wasn’t the kind of behavior we know we can expect from him. So we came down hard on him and he finally figured out that his life was going to be a lot more enjoyable if he behaved. Anyway, long story short, we got through to him. Today was Kindergarten graduation and I am so proud of him, not because Kindergarten is such a difficult journey, but because he has hopefully learned to do his best in all ways. So anyway, today after graduation he went to hang out with his dad while I ran a few errands. When I got back, I found these pretty flowers sitting on the table. He was sitting there shoving brownie in his mouth. In between bites, he said to me, “Mom, Daddy and  I picked you some flowers today.” Then he gave me a hug and a big smile. When it comes to kids, there aren’t many things that are better than that.flowers
